Been neglecting the doll crew a bit this year since i’ve been busy with writing, then FF7 Rebirth came out, and now I’ve been splitting writing with wiki editing since Resinbitz has been working for the last few weeks on some big formatting changes at the wiki.

But today I bought a few things for my dollies off Taobao! Got some more tennis shoes, some wigs for Sachi and Rie, and a suit jacket for Leyla. Hopefully I won’t be waiting too long for all that to get shipped and to me. P;

Being Tested

I love it when people ask for an answer to the problems they’re having, proceed not to read the replies to their questions (guess you don’t got dexterity and patience to read either), and also proclaim that they know what the answer is, but since it isn’t what they want to hear they’re not gonna even try to do it (or seek someone to help them). Amaya's Preferences

Decided to change Amaya’s outfit finally after she’s been sitting in an outfit I just didn’t like as much as I figured I would for months ahaha…

Really need to face the facts that she is a tomboy and prefers the streetwear looks her brothers usually sport lmao.

Genderswap!

Had the urge to swap Nori and Amaya’s heads on each other’s bodies because they’re the same resin color and I can hahaha.

Haru’s posted girl versions of Modeun before, and honestly, the sculpt makes for a great girl and it’s a shame he didn’t release the sculpt like XO as a boy and girl. Boy!Maji isn’t something you ever see though, and honestly, she totally works as a babyfaced guy.

Makes me wonder if anyone has made hybrids or genderswaps of their Haru Casting dolls yet. One of my friends has a boy!Wind, but other than that, I haven’t seen much in mix and matching with his sculpts.

#obviously it’s harder to make hybrids with haru dolls since he doesn’t selll heads separately

Enshittification

Been seriously considering offcially abandoning Instagram and just stick to posting here and Flickr (and cross-posting to my Neocities site).

My usage of IG already took a hellacious dip when Meta shat the bed with their tagging system, and then i decided to turn off pretty much all notifications on all my social media apps and sites (highly recommend), and now that it’s just ads and algorithm shit constantly in my feed and stories, what is the point of continuing to use the app? Like, I was there to look at other people’s dolls and projects. Can’t really do that if they never fucking show up on my feed until 5 months later.

Plus, now they’re hopping on the AI dick in the most annoying way possible.

Anyone else’s interest piqued at the Communities thing Tumblr has been working on? Be nice to have something that’s similar to subreddits, FB groups and whatnot.

Goodbye Instagram

Went ahead and announced that I won’t be posting to IG anymore. Wish I could get rid of the app entirely, but for the time being, I do still need notifications for my DMs.

Taobao Haul

My order from Taobao arrived today (in a severely beaten up box ahaha…)!

Leyla’s outfit finally looks more complete with the suit jacket. :) Absolutely loving the color.

The framed butterfly pieces are pretty cool, but I mostly got the set to use the frames for other artwork to put in my roombox (which has been in dire need of wall decor for a few years now lmao). The candy dish looking thing was marketed as an ashtray, but it’s a smidge too big for my minis for that purpose, but it’s still a very cute dish! Maybe I can make my dolls little tiny Andes mint chocolates. ;P

Then got moar of these tennis shoes. I have two pair already for my larger dolls (both in white), so just had to get another two pair for my minis (and a black pair for my large girls).

Lastly, what I was most hype for, were the wigs! The black/white one will be for Sachi when she eventually makes it back home (though it might still get replaced later on), and the mullet is for Rie. I need to get some pomade for both to style them a bit better, but they’re both pretty cute!
