On top of deciding to make Knives into a doll, I also finally decided to make my V from Cyberpunk 2077 into a doll as well bahaha.
At the moment, I think SartoriaJ’s Lobelia will work pretty well for her, especially after getting the ears and eyes modded. I don’t plan to put Vesper together until likely next year or so, so we’ll see if I change my mind on the sculpt bahaha.

Was gonna post this in replies, but lol too much text can’t be bothered with that, so instead I’d reblog for those that don’t keep up with doll junk outside of tumblr and forums and whatnot.
I haven’t personally been closely following the JJ Doll Lab shit, mostly just seen bits of it through what the IG account BJDAwareness has posted, but the quick summary is that JJDL has a shit ton of unfulfilled orders, they’ve blocked BJDivas (previously was a dealer for them until too many orders were going unfulfilled), and ghosted pretty much all customers. Then the business owner’s spouse posted on the JJDL Instagram account that she was “no longer here” (which we all assume means they passed away).
However, due to all the issues with JJDL and the fact that she was fairly active on her personal Facebook account and whatnot recently, those more invested in this than I are finding this news suspicious.
Sooo….yeah we MIGHT have a fake death thing going on.
But if they ARE really dead, then this person’s spouse got dumped into a helluva landmine and is supposedly in the process of selling shit to pay for the refunds still owed.
Last BJDivas posted about it they updated that they got a hold of the local police where JJDL is located and were directed to call the coroner for more info, which they’ll do tomorrow, and at least one other customer is looking into legal action to get their money back.
Either way you slice it, it’s a fucking mess.

#they allegedly got an email from jamie’s (jj doll lab) account stating that she is not in fact dead and that someone hacked her accounts #depending on how things turn out #this could be more crazy than that time culur pretended to go get a new PC #because supposedly her computer died due to getting too many preorders during that time she sold her dolls for a second time a few years agyes she did that and it was absolute nonsense #she even fessed up a few days later #god that preorder was a fiasco #but i will reserve judgement for if this deserves to take the crown of doll wank or not #until things meet an end
been going back and forth between getting either haru casting eminor or wind for a while to reshell sachi as (and of course haru has both coming up in the next preorder in september). think i’m finally starting to settle on eminor since i like her lips more. we’ll see how i’m feeling when the preorder starts though lmao.
annnnd i also finally settled on getting knives (my rites of passage aquilo head) a raccoon doll body. it’s not nearly as dorito shaped as i’d like, but i don’t like how all the other ~50cm dudes are designed, joint-wise. D; knives will just have to live with not having a tiny slutty waist lmao.
annnd still humming and hawing about what doll to get for vesper sosa, my cyberpunk 2077 character. sartoriaj’s lobelia on the 47mtn body is the first choice right now, but i’m still trying to look around at other dolls in that scale. if anyone else has suggestions for other fashion BJD ladies that are closer to 50cm than 45cm, please let me know (i’m looking for more slender ladies than curvy). i swear, so many doll makers are allergic to making their girls as tall as the guys.
