Sooooo I’m thinking of getting back into using my doll blog again! Even went about updating the website theme. xD;
Anyway, I’m planning on plopping a pile of old photos into my queue that I’ve taken since I ceased posting here back around 2018 or so. So yeah, if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ve likely already seen a lot of the photos to be posted bahaha.
Figured I’d start off my slow return to this doll blog with a picture of the last doll I posted pictures of here! xD
This is from when Jonathan (formerly known as Miles) got back home from being painted by Nocturne Doll Studio (formerly Shadowed Force Aesthetics). I had him styled as Ken Kaneki for a good while, but this year I snagged a Migidoll Jina head to make into him instead, and so Jonathan is back to his cute red-headed look. c:
Probably my favorite outfit and pictures I took of Jonathan, even now. He’s just so cute. T AT There really is just something special about old school BJDs; there’s just something about their more simplistic sculpting that I have come to appreciate more and more over the years of collecting.
I don’t have this head anymore, but this is still one of my favorite snapshots of her. One of the few times those Soom jointed hands felt like cooperating with me at the time. xD
Ahhh back when I first got my Iplehouse Louis put together on a Spiritdoll body. The Louis head was an accidental purchase I made when I mistakenly thought it was a Freezia head rather than Louis when I happened upon the sales photos on Facebook (the seller had a stock pile of doll heads for sale and they didn’t know the sculpts for all of them, for anyone wondering). xD; By the time I realized what sculpt it actually was, the seller had already shipped it out, so I figured I’d just go with it and see if I wanted to keep the head or not. Luckily for me, she just kind of fell together with no issues. I was able to easily find a secondhand body to put her on, and she even got a wig I’d been trying to get rid of for years.
Thanks to this outfit, she made me think of a female version of Mike from Stranger Things. XD Thus Michelle was born. I kinda miss this faceup style she used to have (I’ve since had her repainted with a more dramatic look)

Ugh, I’ll never get over how perfect the Maji sculpt from Haru Casting was for my OC Amaya. ; w ; Also, big sweaters are still definitely her thing all these years later lmao.
The Sachi gals together! For those that didn’t know, these two dolls represent the same OC, just at different ages. I don’t really do anything with little!Sachi anymore, but she’s too cute to give up. She’s basically permanently living in a pink dinosaur outfit these days. xD
All these years later and Hiei still needs more clothes…and also a new wig. This one has lived past its prime (even moreso now than when I took this picture). xD;;;

Anyway, this picture was of when I finally got Riyo a proper wig that fit her and was in the right color.
Man, it was stupid good luck that I ended up buying this girl off of cesspit back in 2019. Not only was it from before Roze Helns started dramatically jumping up in price on the secondhand market, it was also prior to Heln taking off in popularity, so this girl was up for sale for at least a week (which I remember pretty clearly since it took me that long to finally decide to buy her lmao), AND I happened to have plenty of money from my PFD + from several dolls I was in the process of selling.
I’m still stupid happy that I got her when I did and that it was cesspit’s girl. I always really liked the faceup she chose to get for her Heln, so the fact I got that exact doll in my collection was pretty great. Still got this girl and have absolutely no plans on parting with her. = w=
Roze Heln can’t stand for shit, but they sure do lay down real nice. xD
Tris a constant reminder that thicc thighs save lives.
Also, these two outfits are still some of my top favorites on her.
Shin is definitely one of my favorite character dolls I’ve put together. He just turned out so perfectly. ; w ;
I haven’t taken nearly enough photos of Zack since getting him. He’s such a cutie, but I’m at a complete loss of what his style should be. xP He’s just been sitting in baggy clothes and sweats since I got him bahaha.
Rie is by far my favorite doll to play with. Bimong bodies are hella expensive, but god, so worth it. andi’llnevershutupaboutitbahahah
I’m also still so pleased with how well Komorebi Dolls painted her.
This is how Michelle looks these days and lawrd she is just glorious! Also, I bought that skirt for her during the start of the pandemic back in 2020 and all the lockdowns, so this fucking thing was stuck with Russia Post for 4 months lmao. It was kind of agonizing waiting for it because it was literally the only thing I bought for Michelle from the seamstress and was all I wanted Michelle to wear for all that time. xD She lived in this skirt for I think a year because I finally changed her outfit bahahaha.
Naoko is definitely one of my favorite dolls to dress up. She just looks good in anything. = w=
