About Me

Hello, I'm Alisha, though I go by Singull most everywhere online. I'm a thirty-something nerd that loves gaming, reading, anime, and dolls of all kinds. I've been collecting ball-jointed dolls in particular since 2008 and I'm always happy to answer people's questions about them (to a point where I took over the Ball-Jointed Doll Wiki on Fandom).

When it comes to anime, I'm particularly prone to keeping up with shounen series these days, but I do love me sappy dramas and the occasional mindfuck series as well. Yu Yu Hakusho has been the main obsession of mine since I was Yusuke's age and that likely isn't going to change anytime soon, but other top series for me are: Tokyo Ghoul, Trigun, My Hero Academia, NANA, Mononoke, and Saiyuki.

With gaming, I'm not too keen on online games since I just don't keep up with them very well. Destiny was the last MMO I got into and that was years ago. I lowkey miss it, but I just find these types of games turn into a chore after a certain amount of time and it's no longer fun playing them. Generally I prefer to stick to single player games with stories I can really lose myself in. Roleplaying games where you can make your own protagonist are my absolute favorites, with the Dragon Age series as well as Cyberpunk 2077 being the main ones I'm a clown for. I post a lot about my gaming shit on Tumblr, so be sure to check that out if you're interested!

As for reading, feel free to check out my Goodreads profile! I only really use it for keeping track of books I'm currently reading, rather than the social aspect of the site. I'm generally open to reading most any fiction, though I tend to stick with sci-fi and fantasy the most.

For those that are entrenched in fandoms, particularly regarding "debates" about anti/proship fuckery, I'd suggest not bugging me lmao. This post of mine on Tumblr sums up my thoughts about the weird purity culture war going on in chronically online fandom circles.
